The next Battlefield entry is almost here and it’s coming in hot. According to a new leak from Dealabs’ well-known insider Billbil-kun, Battlefield 6 is launching on October 10, 2025, and it’ll cost $79.99 for the standard edition.
If you’re playing on PC, you’re in luck the price will reportedly be $10 less than consoles. As for consoles, both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be supported, with a second, more expensive Phantom edition priced at $109.99.
Pre-orders are rumored to go live on July 31, and there’s a twist on early access this time, regardless of which edition you pick. That’s a big change from how pre-orders usually work these days. However, those who start with the standard edition can reportedly upgrade to the Phantom edition anytime for $29.99.And yes, the open beta is finally happening confirmed straight from the Battlefield team on social media. They teased it with a fun little nudge to fans, saying:
“Starting at Open Beta, players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not. More to come.”
Campaign Storyline and Setting Revealed
EA is gearing up for the full Battlefield 6 reveal today at 8am PT, with the first trailer set to drop. Fans got an early taste of what’s coming after a teaser showed snippets of the campaign. Here’s what we know: the story is set in the near future, and things are heating up fast. NATO is under siege with its base in Georgia hit, Gibraltar invaded, and the Secretary General assassinated in Brussels. The group behind it? A mysterious organization known as Pax Armata.
The anticipation has been building for a while. EA hinted at the game back in 2021, and since then, it’s been a steady stream of leaks and teasers from concept art to internal Battlefield Labs tests. This time around, the devs at DICE seem to be taking player feedback seriously, saying they’ve received “loads of feedback from the very active testers selected.”
Battlefield 6 is already gaining positive early impressions unlike the troubled launch of Battlefield 2042.
- Leaked gameplay footage has revealed several exciting new mechanics, including:
- Dragging downed teammates to safety
- Grabbing onto moving vehicles
- 3D map navigation features
- Highly destructible environments
- Possible hints of a battle royale mode
If all this checks out, it sounds like EA and DICE are finally ready to deliver the Battlefield experience fans have been waiting for.
